NEMER JOMAA

FOUNDER

1936: Nemer Jomaa is born in a small village in the valleys of Lebanon.
1943: At the young age of 7, he begins farming his family's crops alongside his father.
1956: By the age of 20, he had learnt the skills of a carpenter.
1966: Nemer Immigrates to Canada with his wife and small children, eventually settling in Calgary, Alberta in his search for opportunity.
1966: Nemer secures his first job with a framing company. His first project is roofing a 30 story building. His limited proficiency in English presented the most significant challenge for him.
1967: Nemer begins his own venture, taking on his own projects. He begins buying property and renovating or developing them into higher density uses.
1977: Nearly 10 years after coming to Canada, Nemer Incorporates "Jomaa & Sons Construction Ltd."

1977: "Jomaa & Sons Construction Ltd." is registered as a business in Alberta and begins acquiring real estate all over Calgary in key areas.
1982: Jomaa Acquires significant areas of land.
1984: Acquisition of a 6-story apartment building.
2006: Begins master planning communities.
2010: First major development.
2012: Successful completion of a 100-Estate lot subdivision.
2014: Hafiza Homes is established as a premium custom home builder, opening its first show homes in West Springs Calgary.
2017: Developed Phase 2 of West Springs
2022: Development of the West Springs Landing Project is approved. Comprised of retail commercial and multi-family buildings with underground parkades.
2024: Jomaa & Sons Construction has a corporate name change to JOMAA. Signifying the growth from a construction company to full service land developer covering all aspects of real estate, land development, construction and management.
2024: With successful pre-leasing prior to shovels in the ground. Construction of the WSL Shopping center in West Springs begins.
2024: New corporate office for JOMAA limited is under construction.
